Phenominally great dance band -- who knew? Jesse Wolfe! Two pages of thumbs. Lots of band shots, as well as guests.

Strictly Swing Entertainment is our production company. We DJed and MCed for Jessie's 16th Birthday. The Theme was 1950's soda shop, a job we'll eagerly tackle. Jessie's party was a great success!

Gilbert Flojo was a phenomenal dancer, as well as our good friend. He was serving our country in Kuwait when he was killed in a car crash in April 2003. He was a much loved member of the huge Tampa Bay "Swing Community."

On Thursday, April 13, 2006 we drove up to New Port Richey and performed at the USADance, Pasco County Chapter monthly dance. Arleene and Jamie performed Savoy-Style Lindy Hop, and Ryan and April did an acrobatic East Coast Swing (that we taught them several years ago). Xander jumped in for the third number for a rousing Shim Sham Shimmy

While we've participated in the WWII Salute at Heritage Village seven years running, this was our first time at their Classic Car Show. We set the tone for the day with 50's car music, and swing dancing. We had a BLAST!

Another great show with the world famous Jive Aces. This was our annual Jives Christmas bash, so the lads from over the pond donned their red suits and tore the place apart! Smashing!

A great Night at The Original Wednesday Swing including: Arleene's 6:00 p.m. Tango Class, Cool Shoes, A visit from Diane and Brent, Diane Dempsey Art Work, and lots of People Photos!

A great night of celebration. Arleene turned 42, and people came from far and wide -- We even had visitors from our old gang in Lakeland including Dashing Don, and Pete and Merry

Mostly photos of couples dancing. These are better quality than most of Jamie's pix, because he used his Canon Ftb, with a huge Vivitar flash. It's a film camera, so there's no lag time that makes it so dificult to photograph dancers.

This was our first show with The Venturas since we closed our bricks-and-mortar dance hall. Just four photos from Jamie's great film camera.

2006 GRADUATES! 6:00 p.m. Lindy Hop class. Shake a Tail Feather, lots of silly photos of Wednesday Swing.

We were asked to entertain the people who were waiting in line to see the Glenn Miller Orchestra by dancing under the pavillion. We had a blast dancing, and got to see and hear the Glenn Miller Orchestra. What fun! A couple of our friends from Orlando dropped in, too!

TWO PAGES OF THUMBNAILS! Gulfport Casino "Grand" Re Opening. Photo of Wendy, the improperly fired bartender, Jamie and Arleene performing for 1500 people, and the newly "Renovated" Casino. After waiting almost a year, countless setbacks, cost over runs, broken contractors promisses, and almost $1,000,000 in grants from local, state and federal agencies, the Casino re opened. Even though it came out looking like a recreation hall from a condemned prison, we made the best of it. Take a look at these pix. You might see someone you know!

A few photos just of the band. One of Jean and one of Guy. This was early on at Savoy South when we thought we needed a band every Friday. Everyone had left by 11:30 p.m. That's when we took the photos.

FOUR PAGES OF fuzzy THUMBNAILS! Since Our Grand Opening night, this had been the biggest party at Savoy South Dance Hall to date (October 2002). Dozens of costume pix. Lots of people pix. Mikey and Minnie, Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty, Jason the Assistant Mall Manager, Savoy South in FULL SWING!

Orchesta Infinidad is AWESOME! Salsa, Merengue, Bachata all night long! We discovered early on that getting the Latin-Dance Crowd to pay $10 for high-quality entertainment in a smoke-free venue, with the best dance floor anywhere was like pulling teeth! Live and learn!

This was the only time we invited the Jive Aces to do a show on a Sunday, and not to out do the Suncoast Swing Gang's Sunday dance, we made it a joint venture with them. Jim Webb of News Channel 8 put us in touch with April, the producer of the Daytime Show who made all the arrangements. Arleene and I danced to three Jive Aces Tunes, and we were joined by The Suncoast Swing Gang's Dancin' Dave, and Veda Martin, Rosie Joseph, and Jim Webb, all of Channel 8. Carson, the Suncoast Swing Gang president, took most of these photos.

Our friend Johnny Yates is a record producer, and music video producer. He had been an avid swing dancer since before he started Razzor Records, and thought of us when his female duo, "Twice Shy" was ready for their video. They did a great remake of Air Supply's "Here I Am." It was a fun day with lots of great dancers. Patrick provided Subway sandwiches. Week 386 of the ORIGINAL Wednesday Swing. Rodney asleep on the job, Lots O'Newbies, Dancing pix, People pix, several decent photos of our 6:00 p.m. swing class, "Shake a Tail Feather" and Jamie trying to get his face in every photo. We've often been imitated, but never duplicated!

Four pages of thumbnails!! OPENING NIGHT! Our new Saturday dance was a smash success right off the bat thanks to Vic Sarno's legacy and our HUGE email list. We had a great time with a very-big first-time crowd. The folks were excited about the activity, and we received lots of promisses to tell friends and to attend again. Our first night of our first regularly-scheduled Saturday Swing Dance since our 50's Dance at Savoy South in Pinellas Park. Thanks to Ed Wilson for the use of his camera!

Her 60th birthday fell during Frankie's visit, and she came out from California to meet Frankie here, in Florida. See Frankie's son, Chazz Young, Norma Miller, Frankie's Grand daughter, Michelene, Jim Webb, Fran Johns, the Tom Kats, an amazed audience, and a surprised staff at the Thunderbird Motel.

Mostly floor photos. Break room. Seven days before we opened there was not a single stick of wood in the entire place. We built 4400 square feet of double-suspended, tounge-in-groove, maple dance floor in six days. It took 12 volunteers and 3 flooring installers working 12 hours a day to get the work done.
